By joining an affiliated British Riding Club (BRC), you agree to adhere to the rules as set out in your club’s constitution, the following Terms and Conditions and the BRC Code of Conduct which can be found on 7 of the BRC HandbookThese terms apply to all members, volunteers, and users of any services provided by the Club. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not proceed with your membership.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Noticewhich complies with all UK and EU Data Protection regulations.
We will only collect the minimum information necessary to manage your membership, participation in events and communication preferences. You can contact us at any time to enact your rights in relation to your personal data by emailing [email protected]
Termination of Membership
Your affiliated riding club or BRC head office reserves the right to terminate membership if a member breaches the Terms and Conditions, engages in inappropriate conduct, or fails to meet membership requirements.
In case of termination for breach of terms, membership fees will not be refunded.
Cooling-Off Period and Membership Cancellation
You have the right to cancel your membership within 14 days from the date of joining or renewing your membership, provided you have not already started participating in any Club activities or events.
To cancel your membership during this cooling-off period, you must inform your club and BRC Head Office in writing via email or by post. Please include your membership details (name, membership number, etc.) and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
If you exercise your right to cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, any membership fees paid will be refunded minus any transaction and admin fees.
After the 14-day cooling-off period, membership fees are non-refundable.
